YOUTH AND CHILDREN
Wherever there are children, there are minds hungry for learning, legs stretching to run, and arms opened for love. The youth ministries of The Salvation Army provide educational, physical, emotional and spiritual programs to help strengthen a child's future.....and ours.
Check out the links below for more information on our youth programs.
Linden Scholarship
The Linden Scholarship is The Salvation Army's way of removing barriers that block higher education due to a lack of financial resources. Qualified individuals will receive up to $1500 per year for attending a two year school and $3000 per year for those attending a four year college.
Music
Brass bands, timbrels, melodious voices on the street corner--these are all cornerstones of the Army's rich musical history. Often upbeat and bold, the sounds of The Salvation Army have always been distinctive in the world of music.
Northwoods Camp
This 205-acre camp sits on Elbow Lake in Finlayson, MN just ninety minutes north of the Twin Cities. Activities include swimming, hiking, fishing, rustic camping, arts and crafts, archery, music, boating, ropes course and opportunity for spiritual enrichment. This modern facility supports existing Salvation Army programs and accommodates Salvation Army family and childrens camp ministry.
King Family Child Development Center
401 West 7th Street, St Paul
The King Family Child Development Center emphasizes interaction and teaching that stimulates children’s minds and prepares them for success at school. The center provides care for children ages 16 months through five years. There is at least one loving adult for every four to six children.
Enhancing the Child Development Center is a second program geared to pre-school aged children. Providing education, encouraging confidence and offering a connection to the community ensure the best chance of success for children as they prepare for their school years. Email Brenda Line or call 651-224-8196 for more information.

In the Twin Cities, The Salvation Army provides after school tutoring at Eastside, Saint Paul Citadel, Central, Temple and Lakewood. Contact one of these Twin Cities locations for more information.
