Salvation Army Responds to Burnsville Apartment Fire
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – December 23, 2008 – The Salvation Army is offering toys for families affected by the Burncliff Apartment fire through two Toy Shop distributions: today at the Rosemount Armory, 13865 South Robert Trail from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and tomorrow at 2445 Prior Ave. N., Roseville from 9 a.m. to noon. The Salvation Army is also offering the families basic necessities during their Toy Shop visits.
The Salvation Army will also help Burncliff families through a temporary office open this Saturday, Dec. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 13901 Fairview Drive, Burnsville. No appointment necessary. The Salvation Army will be helping with financial needs due to this fire.Families who need help should call The Salvation Army at 651-746-3400.
At this time there are no requests for physical donations of clothing or furniture, as financial assistance is a more viable way to assist the families and provide what is needed.

The Salvation Army mobile kitchen and crew responded with food and hydration after a fire destroyed a Burnsville apartment complex, displacing hundreds. Salvation Army volunteers served emergency responders and residents on scene as well as at the Burnsville High School, which has been set up as a temporary shelter.
