KS95 “Stuffs the School Bus” for The Salvation Army
at
Twin Cities Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club Stores
School supply donation drive begins July 28;
KS95 on-air talent help Aug. 8 - 10
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – July 28, 2008 – The Salvation Army and KS95 are teaming up for year three of “Stuff the School Bus,” a vital program that gives new school supplies to children of low-income families.
Collection bins will be set up July 28 – Sept. 2 at all Twin Cities metro area Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores for the public to donate new stationery products, backpacks, calculators, and other school supplies for all ages.
KS95's on-air talent will tour with the KS95 “Stuff the School Bus” motor coach
Aug. 8 – 10 and encourage Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club shoppers to pack the bus full of school supplies. (A tour schedule is at bottom.)
“Last year’s Stuff the School Bus gathered nearly 45,000 stationery items that helped countless children start their school year right,” said Major Darryl Leedom, Commander of the Twin Cities Salvation Army. “Adequate school supplies are an essential part of getting children enthusiastic about learning.”
“Stuff the School Bus” is presented by KS95, Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club, and is sponsored by 5 Eyewitness News, Diet Pepsi, First Student Transportation, Jennie-O Turkey Store®, M&I Bank, Malt-O-Meal®, Post-it® and Wet Ones®.

KS95 also “Stuffs the Bus” with toys during the Christmas season for The Salvation Army’s Toy Shop, which distributes gifts to needy families.
