Job Search Twofer:
Get Expert Advice, Help People in Need

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – July 21, 2010 Landing the job of your dreams could be as easy as donating $10 to The Salvation Army.

On July 22 at 7 p.m., job search expert Kevin Donlin will hold his popular seminar “Guerilla Job Search Secrets Revealed!” at the Maplewood Salvation Army, 2080 Woodlynn Ave. in Maplewood. The cost of attending is a donation of $10 or more to The Salvation Army, payable when you register.

Donlin’s seminar features “guerilla” job search tactics that he says are highly effective, plus tips on résumé and cover letter writing, networking, LinkedIn and other topics. His methods have been featured by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Fortune Magazine and other major news outlets.

Seminar proceeds will be used to provide food, shelter, employment assistance and other critical services to Twin Cities residents in need.

“Many people do not realize that in addition to all the basic needs services offered by The Salvation Army, we also provide employment assistance,” said Major Darryl Leedom, commander of the Twin Cities Salvation Army. “That means that those who attend this event will not only be helping themselves find a job, their donations will also help The Salvation Army put others back to work.”
