ADOPT-A-FAMILY in the Twin Cities
Make Christmas more joyful this year by adopting a family through The Salvation Army.
The Adopt-A-Family program, a partnership between The Salvation Army and 102.9 Lite FM, is designed to provide Christmas gifts and food certificates to needy families in the Twin Cities. This Christmas, The Salvation Army and 102.9 Lite FM have committed to helping families through the Adopt-A-Family program and you can be part of it.
On December 3 and 4, 102.9 Lite FM will hold an Adopt-A-Family Radiothon asking listeners to adopt a needy family this Christmas. Those who wish to adopt a family must call on those days to sign up and will then be mailed information on this program. The commitment is to purchase new gifts for each child in the family, as well as a gift card for groceries.
The adopters will then contact their adopted families to arrange delivery by December 20. We strongly encourage all gift deliveries to be at a Salvation Army Community Center, especially on December 20 from 10am-2pm when we will have Christmas get-togethers at each center for Adopt-A-Family.
This is a great opportunity to make this Christmas extra special by helping families in the Twin Cities. Look below for more information on how you can Adopt-A-Family this Christmas and help The Salvation Army continue doing the most good.

4. Call your family no later than December 14 and make arrangements to deliver your gifts by December 20.

For example, $45.00 would give a family of two (one adult and one child) a brighter Christmas. You could buy the child a $25.00 gift and provide a $20.00 food gift card for the family--$10 for each family member. (The giving level amounts do not include gifts for adults.)
